Ron's Annual Golf Scramble (formerly The Fall Annual Ron Tournament) is an invitation only golf tournament held at Heritage Ranch's world class golf course, designed by Arthur Hills. The purpose of the annual golfing event is to serve as fellowship for its participants while funding a worthy cause. Most recently, the tournament has provided monetary gifts to autism research through such organizations as Cure Autism Now and the Autism Treatment Center (ATC) of Dallas.
The course where the event is held is located in the beautiful town of Fairview, TX. People come to Ron's Annual Golf Scramble from all parts of the world: England, Kentucky, Colorado, Oklahoma and a number of cities in Texas such as Abilene, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston, McKinney, Frisco, Lake Whitney, Plano, Richardson, Allen and, of course, many from Heritage Ranch in Fairview.
Heritage Ranch is situated 20 miles northeast of Dallas. From Dallas, take 75 (Central Expressway) north to the Stacy Road exit, go right and follow until the end (road jogs), go left and take your first right, continuing on Stacy Road. Entrance to Heritage Ranch is approximately one mile ahead on your left.

The First Annual Ron Tournament, was held in February of 2002. The name and tournament were such a success that the Fall Annual Ron Tournament was born later that same year. So the first Fall Annual Ron Tournament, was actually the second Ron Tournament which was held in September of 2002. Then there was the third Ron Tournament, which was the second Fall Annual Ron Tournament. The Fall Annual Ron Tournament continued thru 2006 until 2007 when the name was again changed to Ron's Annual Golf Scramble. (Founder, Ron Samuels, felt clarification would be helpful to new Ron's Annual Golf Scramble participants.) Name changes take place when acronyms may no longer be humorous, but are more of a reality at our age. Please note: Ron's Annual Golf Scramble is an invitation only tournament, but remember money talks.
2009 tournament committee members were Berry Tolle, Clayton Barns, Glen McDowell, Jim Gaynor, Ron Anders, Tom Moore, and Ron Samuels (all from Heritage Ranch) and Neil Massey of the Autism Treatment Center (ATC) of Dallas. The tournament committee is grateful for the participation of many other Heritage Ranch residents and special thanks to Jan Samuels, Deanna Hyatt, Sheila Arledge, Gayle Barns, and Mary Gaynor, as well as Charlie, Jason, Josh, Patty, Tim, Tony and the rest of the Heritage Ranch staff. Also special thanks to the annual camera man Tom Crawford and to Pat Pease for pictures and video.
